Sponsorship & donors

Since the 1960s Bedfordshire has had a proud reputation as a recognised national centre of excellence in music education. The Society is immensely proud of our young musicians as they move on to the next stage in their education and careers. Many of us have followed similar paths in the past and we are very pleased to work with organisations that help our young players to fulfil their musical dreams.

Over many years the Society has been able to thrive by generous donations and bequests from audience members and members of the Society. New contributions are always needed and most gratefully appreciated. The Society benefits from tireless unpaid work from some 20 members of both orchestras to organise rehearsals, performances, membership, accounting, websites, social media and secretarial matters, for which we are all very grateful, and without which the running of the Society would be unaffordable. If you are interested in making a contribution, no matter how small, have ideas or contacts for potential sponsorship, or wish to place an advert in future programmes, then please contact [email protected].

You can also make a donation to the society at any time via our SumUp platform – all contributions are very much appreciated!

By attending our concerts, our audiences play a vital role in supporting our work. In order to meet our ambitions, we also invite sponsorship from public and private sector organisations who wish to benefit from being associated with this valuable work. Please contact our Chair to discuss how we might work together.

Bedfordshire Orchestral Society is a registered charity (No. 262813) and is part of the Making Music (National Federation of Music Societies) network.
