Bedford Sinfonia will perform Svendsen Norwegian Rhapsody No. 3, Milhaud Le boeuf sur le toit, Andrzej Panufnik Concertino for Timpani and Percussion and Dvořák Symphony No. 7 in D minor.

Bedford Sinfonia’s upcoming concert includes several rarely performed works. Johan Svendsen’s Norwegian Rhapsody No. 3 will be followed by Darius Milhaud’s Le boeuf sur le toit, before highlighting the musical skills of Rachel Gledhill (timpani) and David Hext (percussion), two of this country’s pre-eminent percussionists, in the Panufnik Concertino for timpani and percussion. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7, considered by critics to be one of his greatest symphonies, completes the programme.
